What is Project Freakdom?

  Project Freakdom (PF) is a reincarnated message board. Back in April of '02 the board's previous incarnation, Esper Online (EO), a Breath of Fire forum,  was shut down by it's admin. Still an active forum at the time, the members of the board organized to create a new home for the bizarre and somewhat close knit group they had become, leading to the creation of PF. The name PF comes from a members inclusive fanwork, Esper Royal, (a story based on the Japanese movie, Battle Royal.)

 To the north, in an abandoned two-story residential house, five people are planning something big. It seems these people, while hostile, have taken a different approach than everyone else. They're efforts appear to be aimed directly at Gifted One himself, and they believe that his demise will help them all in the long run. Choosing to use their weapons against the forces which keep them held hostage, these brave EO members are termed within the clique of "Project Freekdom".

Because of parallels to EO's deletion and events in Esper Royal, and the fact that with in the fic, Project Freekdom symbolized member solidarity, the name was adopted for the forum.  It was "misspelled" as 'Freakdom' and was never corrected.

PF has slowly evolved to focus less and less on Breath of Fire and other video games, and has become a social forum of people who have, or have had similar intrests. Most members are still video games fans, and many are fans of Japanese animation (anime) and comics (manga), as well has being interested in creative expression, wither it be writing or art of other forums.
